Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the pharmacy department's efforts related to clinical pharmacy initiatives.
• Providing support to the Therapeutics Committee in areas related to formulary management, medication use and JCAHO initiatives.
• Supervising and assessing the activity of the Clinical Staff Pharmacists and playing an active role in their ongoing development.
• Completing drug information requests and participating in educational efforts related to medication use.
• Identifying, organizing, and completing performance improvement projects related to medication use.
• Coordinating drug therapy for the investigational drug program.

Requirements include:
• Registration by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
• Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or Pediatric Pharmacotherapy
• Work requires the level of knowledge acquired through graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• PGY-1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience.
• Pediatric experience required.
• 3-5 years recent hospital pharmacist experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals concerning Therapeutic

Committee decisions and recommendations related to pharmaceutical care.
• Ability to coordinate clinical programs with Clinical Staff Pharmacists.
• Communication skills must be effective in both oral and written forms.
• Ability to make independent evidence-based decisions related to medication therapy.
• Must be able to develop new clinical programs as well as contribute to improving existing programs.
• Working knowledge and ability to use with ease, various software programs utilized to aid in both clinical and educational support.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Pharm.D. or Master’s degree. PGY-2 pharmacy residency.
• 5-10 years hospital pharmacist experience
